Nice vineyards enjoy a unique microclimate that allows the production of an exceptional wine. The hills of Bellet are home to some brave winemakers attached to produce in a particularly popular Protected Denomination of Origin (PDO). These few domains will welcome you in an intimate and remarkable setting.
The Bellet appellation was recognized by decree on November 11, 1941. But the origins of the Nice vineyard are much older, since they go back to Roman antiquity. Louis XIV made it a court wine, and it was praised by Thomas Jefferson, the president of the United States who was fond of the French terroir. At the beginning of the 19th century, there were 1000 hectares of vines. However, after the damage inflictted by the phylloxera and the two world wars, the PDO now only affects a few tens of hectares in operation. But scarcity does not prevent pleasure, on the contrary!
