In this cooperative winery, the producers’ expertise showcases wines from the Provence varieties such as Grenache, Syrah and Cinsault. In Sénas, a Provencal village crossed by the famous National Highway 7, the Cellier Saint Augustine offers a production typical of this terroir located in the heart of Provence, between the Alpilles Mountains and Luberon.
In December, the Cellier Saint Augustin organizes a Christmas market for a whole day. Local producers present all the products necessary for the preparation of the thirteen Provencal desserts. Also, the cooperative winery plans to expand its shop, and is associated with the building project of a Maison de Pays.
Before the war, many farmers were bringing their grapes to the Sénas cooperative winery. Some days, the tail of carts drawn by mules was going from the cellar to the church, a queue of about five hundred metres!
