Château de Vauclaire and its thirty-hectare vineyard is, above all, a family affair; that of the Salliers who own the property since the late 18th century. For long it was a men story, but now women are running the show. Adeline, the mother, and her daughter Charlotte carry on the tradition of good wine on this side of Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence.
Château Vauclaire offers a beautiful cottage labelled 3 ‘épis’. It can accommodate 4 to 6 people.
Once quite common in Provence, mixed farming is a practice that is getting very rare. Château Vauclaire is one of the last ones as it operates together 30 hectares of vineyards and 55 hectares of cereals: durum wheat, sunflower seed, chickpeas and corn.
