One couldn’t dream of a more beautiful location at the entrance of the mythical village of St Tropez. The Château des Marres is sumptuous, yet accessible, always keeping its doors wide open for all lovers of good wine — whether local or passing through. The family (one of the oldest in Ramatuelle) is at the heart of this story which began in 1907 with the grandfather, Henry Beney, who was a master vigneron. Everything here is done is to honour his name.
The cellar is a real gem! It offers an impressive view of the nearby vines (with a rose bush at the beginning of each row) and on the traditional barrel cellar where the reds wait. Large and aesthetic, it is both a shop and a tasting and reception area: a magnificent showcase for the Château des Marres but also a valuable tool for meeting wine lovers passing through the doors of this beautiful domain.
Art has pride of place in the Château des Marres which serves as a showcase for permanent exhibitions. Many sculptures have found their place at the heart of the domain, inside and outside the cellar, making it unique. In partnership with a gallery of Saint Tropez, openings are regularly organised, bringing together lovers of art and wines.
