This family estate is small in size but great in the quality of its wines. Henri and Geneviève Tournier are both descendants of families of winemakers and started from almost nothing - just two hectares of vines - to create Roche Redonne, now a valued Bandol. Today, this achievement inspires Guilhem, their son, to oversee the Castle that bears his name among the great names of the appellation.
With hundreds of olive trees, Domaine Roche-Redonne produces its own olive oil—alas, in small quantities! This "black fruity" oil has notes of artichoke and a fiery finale, it is ideal for seasoning a nice tomato-mozzarella salad.
In 2013, Guilhem Tournier has bottled a new vintage. Stamped ‘Vin de France’, this red is completely atypical for the Bandol region. It’s an assembly of Carignan, Syrah and Mourvèdre, worked to fully express the fruit. The result is superb, with a wine with enchanting fragrance of red and black fruits and a perfect balance up to the finish, which leaves the palate a feeling of fullness. It’s beautiful work!
