Château Lafoux uses a beautiful palette of grape varieties, with old vines and an exceptional terroir. Between Saint-Maximin and Tourves, this property has retained its charm; it’s the perfect example of what were the major agricultural and Provencal vineyards over the centuries.

Extra

Walkers and riders are welcome to the domain. After registering with the wine shop, they can cover almost all of the 170 hectares of the property along the paths. Educational tours of the cellar and vineyard are also available for small groups.

Original and unusual

At the end of the summer pastures, an old shepherd leads a flock of a thousand sheep on the land of Château Lafoux. The animals graze the grass left between the rows of vines, and deposit a natural fertilizer beneficial for the vines. Sheep are also investing the woods, where they feast on acorns. If you go to the field in these times, don’t forget your camera: to see such a herd going down the hill is now a rare spectacle.
