A lover of France and nature, the Englishman Michael Waterson had this splendid initiative to invest in Provence. He fell under the spell of this vineyard surrounded by greenery in 2009 and, with the help of his operations manager Frédéric Tomayan, has brought it back to a new and promising life. When the expert hand of man sublimates a terroir, magic happens.
Lovers of quality wines, organic moreover, also come here to enjoy beautiful bucolic walks within the vast domain. The owners have devoted 3 hectares to two magnificent gardens, a French one and an English one. It’s indeed an ideal setting to enjoy a glass of wine that fully expresses passion for vine and wine.
The latest arrival in the Coteaux-Varois-en-Provence appellation stands out for its deep respect for the land, grown organically, and for its wonderful terroir. The soil is favorable to red wines so Domaine Coulombaud values wines for ageing, without blushing of its rosé and white wines.
