Domaine de l'Eouve stands out as much by its simplicity and its organic wines’ quality as by its family spirit. Founded by the grandfather in the 1930s, it is now in the capable hands of the father Serge, the mother Christine, and their children Marion and Sebastien. Whereas it is the smallest of the appellation, it nonetheless claims to make great wines, with beautiful finesse.
These passionate and creative winegrowers stand out for their interesting assemblages of grape varieties, like their red wine, for example. The red fruit of Syrah is perfectly present, accompanied by the menthol side of the Mourvèdre on a spicy and truffled finish, with quince notes from Carignan in carbonic maceration. Not to be missed!
One can be vine grower and beekeeper, being hardworking and well organised. For more than sixty years honey is the second production (under the brand name Les Ruchers du Col Fleuri) in this family business which exploits 250 hives. As for wine, this results in high quality products with, for example, thyme and savoury honey, a real rarity in Provence.
