On the hills of Le Castellet, the talent of men is expressed both in art and in wine. The earth is demanding; it’s a full-time job. So when Jean-Luc Dumoutier got into his head to make its domain one of the safe values of the Bandol appellation, he renounced the company he was leading to come and settle in the heart of the vineyards. This choice proved wise.
L'Olivette offers its guests very different festivities, such as the annual sculpture exhibition, summer concerts in the heart of the vineyards or even local products (including Bandol wine confit, the ideal companion for a foie gras, goat cheese or cold meat) that can be found in the tasting cellar.
Each year, L'Olivette hosts a sculptor who exhibits his work in the domain. Each artist leaves a memory of his visit, which enriches the beautiful permanent collection. Thus, with the years the castellan vineyard looks more and more like an open-air museum.
