The future of Bellet lies in the younger generation in power. For over three generations, this family business has experienced real progress on the slopes of Bellet .With respect for the land and the traditions it is one of the oldest vineyards in France.
Domaine de la Source is one of those Nice farms that combine with equal success viticulture and olive growing. It produces the famous olive oil of Nice. This Protected Designation of Origin recognized in 2001 is made exclusively from a variety of olive tree typical of the Nice area: the “cailletier”. The Dalmasso family draws from it a sweet oil with artichoke aromas, ideal for a genuine pan Bagnat!
Before climbing the Bellet hills, Joseph Dalmasso was dairy-feeder. The estate is situated close to the Promenade des Anglais, in the heart of the district of Magnan. Soon after the war and until the early ‘60s, he kept a herd of more than 30 dairy cows whose daily milking supplied the neighbouring homes.
