This secluded property is worth seeing for its landscapes and the quality of its wines. Straddling the municipalities of Pontevès and Correns, Domaine de Saint Andrieu is home to 24 hectares of vines. It’s a vineyard in full revival; ten years ago, in fact, it was reborn from the ashes. It has since shown that this new flame was not a flash in the pan.
In addition to its twenty-four hectares of vineyards, St. Andrieu has twelve hectares of olive groves with a good third classified AOP Provence (approximately 600 trees). They give an oil worthy of its appellation, joining two varieties: Aglandau and Salonenque. The result is attractive oil with raw artichoke flavours, fresh almonds with a hint of bitterness. Its pungency, typical of the region, highlights the intense fruitiness when a thread of this nectar accompanies a salad, roasted vegetables or grilled fish.
Numerous water sources flow through the domain, including the Saint-Andrieu who gave its name to the property. It springs on one of the highest point of the vineyards, 380 metres above sea level.
