At the heart of Cassis, at the foot of the Cap Canaille, vineyards surround a lovely ochre house. The lands of Bagnol, one of the localities surrounding Cassis, were among the first to bear vine. The Genovesi family has been worthy of that heritage ever since it took over the estate, more than a decade ago.
The Bagnol Domaine produces a very special cuvee called ‘Marquis de Fesques’. This small production of 2,000 bottles is a Cassis white, which was the favourite of the Revue des Vins de France!
At the same time he acquired the Domaine du Bagnol, Jean-Louis Genovesi was entrusted with an unusual mission: the direction of the Marseille site on behalf of the Organizing Committee of the World Cup 1998. He received, among others, the defending champions: the Brazilians led by Ronaldo, who would lose a month later in the final against France.
