This domain’s grape varieties, typical of the Coteaux d'Aix appellation, come from a vineyard nestled on the nearby Trévaresse. At the crossroads of Aix-en-Provence, Salon, Avignon and Rognes, the rural village of Saint-Cannat has an iconic cellar, the emblem of a centuries-old wine tradition.
Before heading back on the National 7, we can stock up on the delicious walnut wine prepared by Mme Pellissier, from her grandmother’s recipe. Another tradition of the vineyards of Provence, the recipe, kept secret, is only transmitted here from mother to daughter!
Each year, on one of the domain’s plots, a metal researcher try to pull from the ground a few small remnants of the past. Some vines are indeed planted on the site of an ancient Roman villa.
