The David family has always had a passion for vines, first with Frédéric and Sylvie, the parents; now with their children and Domaine Julianna's founders, Julien and Johanna. Spanning over 30 hectares and rising to 40 in a few years, the story is one of great promise.
With its youthful enthusiasm, this newcomer to the Coteaux Varois wine scene welcomes its customers warmly as they enter the semi-buried cellar, which is open to visitors on request. With a table, chairs, and grandmother's buffet, it's a homely atmosphere, although there are plans for a brand-new cellar.
The first vinifications took place in 2021, and the AOP Hayden rosé (named after Johanna's son, born during the first harvest) has already been awarded a star in the 2023 edition of the Hachette wine guide! If this isn't an encouraging beginning, it certainly looks like one. The white and red wines (cuvées du Paternel and Rouvière) are also collecting medals.
