In Lançon-de-Provencence, three brothers are united by their common passion for wine. Forty years after Gerard and Pierrette Tobias produced their first bottles, their sons Vincent, Pierre and Gabriel are still working the family estate, La Cadenière. Strong of their organically grown fifty hectares of vines, these close-knit siblings treat their customers with wines under the appellation Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence. In addition, they also make a small production of Muscat, a pleasurable sweet wine.
The cellar of the Cadenière offers a selection - small but tasty – of local produce: honey, jam, tapenade, teas, olive oil, herbs, etc.
Although greatly appreciated by many consumers, Muscat is not a Provencal specialty. A handful of domains cultivate the "small seed", this very sweet grape that gives very popular aperitif white wines; La Cadenière is one of those. It produces (in very small quantities) an elegant wine, with large and complex aromas of tropical fruit, citrus, acacia and honey.
