Pierre and Fabienne Sautou heartily welcome visitors in this small estate in the Sauvebonne Valley, which they took over in 1995. After major replanting and increasing of the vine population, they gave a new lease on life to this family vineyard born in 1850. Wines are organic and can be enjoyed in an unusual place: the huge concrete tanks whose walls have been knocked down. Yes, believe it or not, you can taste wines inside the vats that were once used to make them!
One bedroom, one apartment and one studio are available for rent for those who wish to enjoy a stay in the heart of this modest vineyard and its growing reputation. Its success is mainly due to its wines quality, its two rosés, its red and its white — particularly appreciated by wine lovers.
Domaine La Marseillaise deeply believes in organic farming, and wishes to go even further in its environmental approach by establishing a deposit system for its bottles. Better still, it is involved in a washing plant project in the Var. Washing wine bottles rather than recycling them use 4 times less energy.
