At a time when many are considering retirement, Marc and Sylvie Dubois are beginning a new life. The former entrepreneur and doctor have settled at the foot of the Sainte-Victoire Mountain to grow grapes and produce their wines. This rural existence begins auspiciously since their first vintages already foresee great potential.
Artist at times, Sylvie Dubois regularly organizes pottery and painting exhibitions in her domain for one day or more. It’s an opportunity to discover new talents and to enjoy the ones of her winemaker-husband who offers a taste of his fine wines to visitors.
We heard of the grey wolf, the red wolf, the white wolf, but no one knew of the blue wolf. Actually, it’s an invention of Marc and Sylvie Dubois who were looking for a name for their domain. They initially thought of the wolf for this animal has long attended the Sainte-Victoire as recalled in the arms of Puyloubier and more so the village name: Puyloubier, “Podium Luperium”, the hill of wolves! It disappeared for many decades but returned quietly in recent years. However, it’s not blue, that colour is Marc’s personal touch in homage to the sea and the sky that have been so important in his life.
