For generations, the Decomis family has been running a farm in Pourrières, and produces with authenticity wines, melons and olive oil.

Extra

Throughout the summer, twice a week, Michèle Decomis offers pistou soup at the farm. Each participant is given a bowl decorated by the residents of the Foreign Legion retirement home in Puyloubier.

Original and unusual

It is in Pourrières that the Roman general Gaius Marius fought a decisive battle against the Teutons and Ambrons in 102 BC. According to Plutarch, over 100,000 Teutons perished in this fight, masterfully led by the general who knew so well how to reorganize the Roman army.
