Gregory inherited the vineyards of his grandfather and started restructuring of in 1996.Born from the passion of the vine, the story of his work, the Domaine Tropez, started with ten acres which today became 40. But the ambitions of wine go well beyond this ...
Quite unusually, its forty hectares are spread on a forty plots distributed throughout the peninsula of Saint Tropez between Ramatuelle, Gassin and La Croix Valmer, on hillsides and plains. They enjoy an exceptional situation, with clayey, calcareous and sometimes sandy soils, and a Mediterranean climate with strong maritime influence.
Let’s talk about the screw cap. Grégoire Chaix claims, “This is the best closure for rosé. The screw cap, by its impermeability to oxygen, perfectly preserves the wine’s freshness and aroma.” The Anglo-Saxon countries and northern Europe are convinced by these qualities since they opted years ago for this type of plug.
