The vineyards of Jas des Oliviers thrive in the heart of Fréjus and around this ancient Roman city. If Fréjus gave its name to one of the terroir denomination of Côtes de Provence, few vines would remain on the territory of the former Forum Julii. An old family nevertheless continues the tradition: Jean Ollivier and his relatives continue to operate the vineyard developed by previous generations.
Jas des Oliviers is a member of the Association of Peasant Market of Fayence. So we find many local products at the cellar: honey, goat cheese, jams or pâtés and duck rillettes from the increasingly popular Farm Alexandre installed in Callian. Guided tours are held every Thursdays and Fridays at 11am; for other times, contact the domain.
Although the vineyard occupies today the bulk of the activity of Jas des Oliviers, the Ollivier family has not completely given up the fruit and vegetable crops. In any season, the domain’s fruits and vegetables stall delights the locals.
