In the Var countryside, this small domain is the perfect expression of the expertise and passion of an independent winemaker. In Barjols, Arnaud Sabatier operates a vineyard according to the requirements of organic farming, and produces wines with refreshing sincerity.

Original and unusual
Every January 16, the people of Barjols are cheering: it’s the Tripe Fest. They celebrate the patron saint of the city, Saint Marcel, during a joyous ceremony in the heart of the abbey. Adults, children, everyone begins a strange, hopping dance with shouts of “San Macéu Sant Macèu, tripeto li, li tripeto!” This custom recalls the sacrifice of an ox and baskets filled of its entrails, (the famous tripe).
