Presentation

It is a cooperative winery the way we like them, which offers wines that look like the South: warm and simple. In Saint-Maximin, the centennial cooperative winery of Cellier de la Sainte-Baume happily combines respect for tradition and innovation.

The Cellier de la Sainte-Baume to invest places more suitable to the requirements of today’s viniculture. On this occasion, a new space of reception and sale will be offered to the public.

Original and unusual

The Sainte-Baume is still houses more than twenty coolers, active in the 17th and 18th centuries. The water of sources and streams was harnessed, frozen in pools between January and March and then stored in deep wells dug into the rock. In summer, the blocks were cut up and transported overnight to Toulon and Marseille.
