It’s one of the oldest wine cooperatives in Provence, where people know how to make wines that express the strength of a terroir. Les Vignerons de Cotignac have been installed for over a hundred years at the heart of one of the most picturesque village of Provence. Their wines combine aromatic and gustatory qualities, as well as low prices.
Each July, Les Vignerons de Cotignac participate in a wine fair on the Cours Gambetta, which is held in conjunction with the book festival. It’s a great opportunity to stock up on good reading and excellent bottles that we always appreciate with the moderation befitting these events.
At the age of 20, Louis XIV came on a pilgrimage to Cotignac with his mother Anne of Austria. On October 27, 1637, the Fiacre brother had indeed an inner revelation: Anne of Austria was to publicly offer three novenas to the Blessed Virgin, and a son would be given. The first novena to Our Lady in Cotignac, the second to Notre Dame de Paris, the cathedral and the third to Our Lady of Victories. Nine months later, the future Sun King was born.
