Chevalier TORPEZ is a brand of an exceptional vineyard, a jewel, located on the Saint-Tropez cape, encompassing a timeless village of light arised from nature, the arts and the exuberance. The winemakers of Saint-Tropez have taken root in and been inspired by the history and the present. The history about an unwavering loyalty to the Holy Saint of the village, the Knight Torpez, expressed by two thousand years of local traditions, 460 years of celebrating La Bravade... Since 1908 they have been cultivating and defending a unique terroir with very ancient mineral and crystalline soils.

Our winery was founded in 1908 in the heart of Saint-Tropez village. Beyond fads and myths, it is faithfully managed by the generations of winemakers who are in love with the Saint-Tropez environment. More than one hundred winegrowers from different nationalities bring their grapes to the winery. From the very beginning, they confer an international reputation to our mark Chevalier TORPEZ on a worldwide scale. The particularities of Saint-Tropez quality are : the demand and the perfection. With the greatest respect for the environment we cultivate about 200 hectares of vineyards around Saint-Tropez. Winegrowers and oenologists do a goldsmith work on a daily basis to deal with the realities on the ground in order to reflect the potential of the ‘grape variety-terroir'.

Original and unusual

The cellar is regularly visited by personalities passing through Saint-Tropez. Roland Bolla remembers the visit of George Clooney who, quite simply, tasted all the wines and left with a few bottles, visibly delighted with his tasting. Wine in Provence? What else?
